Photo Transfer Class

What on earth am I doing writing a blog at 1:15am?  For goodness sakes, GO TO BED!  Okay, but first am posting pictures of my class next week at the Paper Tree or no one will show up.  If you don't like my grunged out book, worry not.  The class is going to teach the photo transfer technique.  You can do this technique on a pristine, CLEAN-looking book.  I just happen to like grunge.

My grungy book in all it's grunged-out-glory — I just love things sticking out all over the place!

Photo-transfer onto packing tape.  Picture on left is stuck to a piece of clear plastic with another photo transfer on the back...

photo-transfer that was on the back.  It was kind of cool how they didn't interfere with each other as much as I thought they would.  I LOVE phototransfer for sports especially.  Think that it gives the pictures a raw feel.

Obviously it's difficult to see clear plastic effects in scans.

Photo transfer using paint:

And last one — really like how it turned out in person, not as good in the scan.  Photo-transfer to tape on a clear sheet of garbage.  Used Stayz-on to add visual-texture to the paper and stamped a tree on the bottom.  Words inked.  Again, you really lose that clear plastic look in the scan.  If anyone knows how to show that, please educate me!

Have not finished the book, mostly journalling left to do.  It's always the thing I leave until last.  MUST stop doing that!  But it's not happening tonight...sweet dreams!

Okay I was too busy trying not to FREAK OUT in Steph's class to learn about the paint transfer deal. Please educate me. Do you just put the tape on top of the wet paint or is it something else? Love your grungy book, I want to make one. Outside. On top of spread-out newspapers. Hey, I'm TRYING.
